CONSTANZE RUHM

Coming Attractions is a collection of the artistic works of artist and filmmaker Constanze Ruhm, created 2001-2012 as a series entitled “X Characters”. Ruhm presents narratives and identities of female icons from the modern age of cinema by means of different formats (video, film-installations, displays, photography and net-based projects) in experimental scripts and films. The newly created characters and their histories are being transformed into “coming attractions” of a cinematic past whose original cohesiveness reveals itself now as a dynamic, contemporary screen.
